Brother Rice is planning to re-use your iPad for the Class of 2020 (next year’s Freshman). Therefore, every Senior will need to return his iPad. Unfortunately, there are no options for purchasing it.

iPad Return Times

  • Located in the Tech Office
  • Starts:  Monday, May 16

  • Ends:  Monday, May 23 at the end of the school day

How to backup your data

You may want to backup your iPad data or at least data from a specific app like Notability. See iPad Backup for instructions.

Erase your iPad

Before turning in your iPad, you must Erase All Content and Settings on your iPad.

(Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings)

What to return?

  • iPad in provided case

  • Power adapter (Apple 10W or 12W, white)

  • USB-Lightning cable (Apple, white, no visible damage)

What about missing or damaged items?

Missing accessories

If you are missing the Apple Power adapter or USB-Lightning cable DO NOT return another brand or go to the Apple Store to purchase replacements. Instead, please bring payment (cash or check only) to replace accessories at the time you return your iPad.

  • Power adapter - $20

  • USB-Lightning cable - $10

Damaged iPad

If your iPad has visible damage such as: cracked screen, scratched screen, dented edges, bent frame, etc, you will have to pay the AppleCare deductible fee of $50. Please bring deductible payment (cash or check only) at the time you return your iPad.

What about my Brother Rice accounts?

Google Apps (including your BRHS gmail account) and Office 365 will be available to you until 6/30/2017. If you used your BRHS gmail account as your Apple ID, you will need to change the email account associated with your Apple ID before 6/30/2017.
