Offline access is available for the eBook only. Assignments and other activities require LaunchPad (online).
Summarized instructions to download the eBook offline:
Download the "Macmillan Learning eBook" app from Self Service.
Don't open the app or try to log into it directly.
Navigate to the Schoology website (https://schoology.brrice.edu): open Launch Pad > eBook.
From the Help Menu > click "Download Ebook Offline".
From the resulting webpage (http://macmillan.vitalsource.com ) click the "Open App" button.
The previously downloaded app will open and sign in and show several eBooks, one of which will be the Macmillan title.
Click the eBook cover to start the offline download.
Alternate method: don’t download the Macmillan Learning app, instead complete steps 3-5 above then open the VItalSource Bookshelf app and the Macmillan title should be listed.
Schoology linking
TEACHER
Before starting this process:
If applicable, link Schoology sections
Log into Macmillan Learning and create a course for each section you teach - a course for each is needed even if you are linking your Schoology sections
To link a Schoology section to a LaunchPad course:
Navigate to Add Materials > Add File/Link/External Tool > External Tool
Select “BFW Course Tools” from the predefined dropdown list and save
Click the newly added External Tool
Click “Connect with LaunchPad”
Click the LaunchPad course to “Associate” to your Schoology section
Repeat this process for each Schoology section using the section drop down box
