Items to be Returned

  1. iPad (confirm BRHS label and no visible damage)
  2. iPad case (wear and tear expected, but no damage)
  3. Power adapter (Apple 10W, white)
  4. USB-Lightning cable (Apple, white, no visible damage)

Preparing Your iPad for Return

To prepare an iPad for return to BRHS, the Activation Lock must be turned off or the iPad must be removed from your Apple ID.

 

To turn off the Activation Lock, the "Find My iPad" setting must be turned off. To turn off "Find My iPad":

  1. On your iPad, go to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad 
  2. Slide "Find My iPad" button to Off.

 

If your iPad has been erased (see white Hello screens), the iPad must be removed from your Apple ID.

To remove the iPad from your Apple ID:

  1. Sign into iCloud https://www.icloud.com with your Apple ID 
  2. Select Find My iPad
  3. Select All Devices to open a list of devices linked to your Apple ID
  4. Select the iPad to be removed.
  5. Select Remove from Account (Note: It may take a minute for Remove from Account option to appear.)

 

 

Instructions for turning off "Find My iPad"

If iPad has NOT been erased, then turn off "Find My iPad" in Settings.

  • Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad then slide button to Off

If iPad has been erased (see white Hello screens), must remove device from Apple ID.
