Microsoft offers two different Authenticator app options:
(Recommended) Re-use the Google Authenticator app

Configure Google Authenticator for Microsoft MFA
From a computer, navigate to:
or https://mysignins.microsoft.com > Security info
Sign in with your BRHS email address and password.
Click Add sign-in method, then select Authenticator app.
To re-use the Google Authenticator app, click I want to use a different authenticator app.
Click Next to begin setup, a QR Code will be displayed.
With the Google Authenticator App:
Tap the + button (lower-right)
Choose Scan a QR code and point the device’s camera at the on-screen code.
After a successful scan of the QR code, the new account will appear in the Authenticator app (format: Microsoft: email@brrice.edu).
Back on the computer:
Click Next
Enter the 6-digit code visible in the Authenticator app
You have successfully registered the Authenticator app!
Verify additional sign-in methods

Once you have added the new sign-in method, you will be required to use one of the methods in addition to your password. It is advisable to add at least one other method, such as Phone. |

Review the list of sign-in methods - you should have two methods in addition to Password.
Use the Add sign-in method to add additional methods.

This sign-in method is optional. If you already configured Microsoft MFA with the Google Authenticator app it is not necessary to complete these steps. |
Search App Store (or Google Play) for “Microsoft Authenticator”
After downloading is completed, open the Authenticator app.
Sign into the app by selecting Add work of school account.
Sign in with your BRHS email address and password.
If prompted to allow Sign-in with your phone, skip this step.
For proper functionality, you must Allow Notifications.
Your Authenticator app is now configured!
