Notifications

The CrisisGo app features two levels of notifications that can be enabled:

...

  • Standard notifications - like any other device, this allows the app to pop-up messages even while it isn’t being used.

  • Critical/Emergency notifications - these notifications produce a similar experience to an Amber Alert. Your phone will pop-up a message and produce an audible alert tone even if your device has other alerts silenced (or on vibrate).

    • On iPhone, settings for these kind of alerts are located at Settings > Notifications > Government Alerts (very bottom).

    • On Android, settings for these kind of alerts are located at Settings > Search for: “Emergency alerts”.

Login Troubleshooting

Expand
titleYou receive a 403 error message when after logging in with your Google account.

This occurs because your browser is logged into a non-Brother Rice Google Account. Follow one of these two methods to workaround this issue:

Private or Incognito browser session

  1. Open your default browser (i.e. Safari or Chrome)

  2. Open a new tab in the Private or InCognito mode

  3. Switch to the CrisisGo app and begin the login process as outline above

  4. After selecting Sign in with SSO, your default browser will open but now in the private mode

  5. Continue the login process, making sure to sign into Google with your BRHS account

Sign into your BRHS Google Account in addition to your personal account

  1. Open your default browser (i.e. Safari or Chrome)

  2. Navigate to https://accounts.google.com

  3. Select your picture/initials in the top-right corner and then select Add another account

  4. Sign in with your BRHS Google Account

  5. Switch to the CrisisGo app and begin the login process as outlined above

  6. When you reach the step to sign into your Google account, you will now have the choice to select your BRHS Google Account - instead of your personal Google account

titleYou receive a "Login Failed" error message after successfully logging in with your Google account.

If you were successful in all steps of the login procedure, and you saw a prompt similar to the image below, asking you to return to CrisisGo but then see the Login Failed message from CrisisGo your Internet access is being filtered or blocked in a way that is preventing CrisisGo from functioning.
